  This class is great for beginners as well as those with some wheel experience.  This small class allows the instructor to spend more one of one with students to help them learn and improve regardless of their skill level.  Participants will learn a variety of wheel and hand building techniques. 

  Instruction, glazes, tools and firing included in the class price. Clay must be purchased through the PCAA ($30/bag). 

  Students can access the studio outside of class time during the 6-week period.

  Join ceramicist Padgett Gustavson in exploring the combining of hand built and wheel thrown forms. This workshop will be designed to help intermediate ceramicists continue to practice and hone their skills on the wheel as well as explore the world of combining forms. Participants will learn how to think about constructing using multiple thrown or hand-built pieces. This can include more sculptural organic shapes or utilitarian vessels like teapots, pitchers, cruets, vases, and more.

  Do you struggle with throwing tall shapes? The techniques that will be taught can be used to create tall work as well without having to throw tall on the wheel.

  Painting and drawing are the focus of this class. "Art Explorations" is uniquely designed to give personalized instruction within a group setting. This class is for beginners and art enthusiasts who want to gain confidence in their work while receiving individualized instruction and advice to grow their skill set. Students get to choose their own project and bring any needed supplies, they pick their own medium and subject matter, including oil, acrylic, drawing, watercolor, etc. Only two dimensional art is produced in this class.

  Registration for this program is open to those who have not previously participated in First Responders Ceramics' Class in efforts to reach more community members who can benefit from this program.

  Preble Arts provides instruction, tools, glazes, and access to kiln for the entirety of the 6-week class. Students will have access to work in the studio during their 6 wk session, and off class hours.
  Students will need to purchase a bag of clay at Preble Arts ($30).

  Join us Friday June 10th to fuel creativity and independent thinking through our painting workshop. This 2-hour PAINT & SIP event includes step-by-step guidance from our instructor, Robert Coveney.  All materials, and a glass of wine will be included.
