The Preble County Art Association has completed the purchase of the land from the Commissioners!
What does this mean?
It means that PCAA is full and sole proprietor of the asset which sits on 2.145 acres. PCAA now owns the land in addition to the building.
At this time, PCAA is working on taking the necessary steps to sell the property which will allow the organization to become debt free by paying off the mortgage on the current location at 207 E. Main St. This is an important step to becoming self-sustainable as contribute to the growth of the community.
Sustainability and Future of Preble Arts
After years of efforts and hard work, we have finally completed the Hillcrest land purchase!
This was not an easy task. It has been a lengthy process and we are glad to be at this stage as PCAA finally takes full ownership of the Hillcrest property. At this time, the Executive Director and Board of Directors are working on a contingency plan to sell the property located at 601 Hillcrest Dr. Eaton, OH. which sits on 2.145 acres.

History and Background of Property
Through a carefully considered decision-making process, the board of the PCAA voted in August 2018 to purchase and rehabilitate the 207 East Main Street (Eaton) building to become the new home of the Art Association. This decision was made for two critical reasons: More space for programming was desperately needed AND a location in a more trafficked area would increase visibility, program participation, and community engagement in the arts.

PCAA and its donors have made a huge investment in the county with our building rehabilitation in downtown Eaton and providing a cultural resource for citizens and visitors from close and afar. Our intention to use funds from the Hillcrest property sale on the E. Main St. property for sustainability of the arts in Preble County.
