Arts Night Out September 28
The Preble County Art Association (PCAA) is excited to announce Art's Night Out! Join in the celebrations at the Visual Art Center, Friday, September 28 from 6pm-10pm. This edition of the ongoing Art's Night Out series will feature live music from Tommy Renfro, live artist demos from Whispering Oaks Pottery and soft pastels with Erica Keener. The evening will feature a bon fire and lawn games, weather permitting, free kids crafts, and face painting. Enjoy the opening for The Many Faces of Water Color, paintings by artist and children’s book author, Laura Ceville.
Visitors are invited to purchase BBQ provided by Adam’s Rib food truck, soft pretzels from Jane Marshall, and beer from Toxic Brewery. Partake in professionally led art activities and create a marbled silk scarf for $30. Kids can make hand designed tee shirts for $12. Sports fans can paint a personalized wooden sign for the athlete in their lives for just $5. Paint pottery in our Clay Café with no sitting fees for the whole evening. There will be tons of fun activities and sights in both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Paint a unique dot canvas painting with artist, Heidi Flory as part of our Unwind and Create Series. This guided painting workshop is $30 and includes a beverage. Register for this workshop in advance at www.preblearts.org as space is limited.
For the fifth year in a row, PCAA is presenting Oinkers for Art! The Oinkers auction will take place at 7pm as part of Arts Night Out. Attendees can bid on any of the 10 pigs that were painted this year by The Star Theatre at Eagles Point, Sarah Shepherd in Memory of Michael Wallace, Heidi Flory, Samantha Gramaglia & Mandi Mullins, Preble County Juvenile & Probate Court, The Greenbriar/Viktorya Howard, Somerville Bank, Henny Penny, Roselius Insurance, and Reid Family Care. Every entry has a chance to take home a Golden Oinker. One Golden Oinker Award is given for each category including: Oinker of the Year, Overall best Pig; Norman Porkwell, Hometown Pride; Pablo Pigcasso, Originality; Andy Warhog, Essence of Subject, Porker’s Choice Community Favorite. The pigs can be seen on display in downtown Eaton until September 25. Anyone can vote for their favorite at https://www.preblearts.org/oinkersfor-art.
Art's Night Out is an interactive experience designed to combine entertainment and education of the arts. This program is generously supported by LCNB. Art's Night Out is an important event that brings together community members, supports local businesses, and promotes the arts.
